-How to accept donations online on PayPal if you are looking for donations to help you with your website, blog, charitable cause or anything. You can get a website from PayPal or Facebook in order to accept donations for free. You can also use your own website or blog easily by simply copying and pasting the HTML code into your web page.

STEPS

1/ Read the information about donations on the PayPal website so that you can familiarize yourself with how to accept donations online. This option can be found within the non-profit section of the PayPal website.

2/ Sign up for a PayPal account, or sign in to your existing account. Visit the PayPal website, and enter in your email address and personal information. Select the area that states you want a merchant account rather than a personal account so that you will be able to accept donations.

3/ Click on the tab for "My Account," and select the option for "Donations." If you are a non-profit organization or if you are an individual website owner looking to get donations to improve your website or help with research, you can accept donations online.

4/ Click on the "Setting Up" tab, and choose the button you'd like to use. You can change the button to read whatever you'd like it, and you can give your donors the ability to donate once or subscribe for recurring donations.

5/ Create your own website, or copy and paste the payment button HTML into your website HTML. Non-profit organizations are able to make their own website within minutes through PayPal since it is free to create and there are no hosting fees or set-up fees. There are transaction fees that are at a much higher rate than using your own website. You also have the ability to use your own domain name and host your website on your own.

6/ Set up payments on your Facebook page. This gives you access to several hundred thousand potential donors. Through the What Gives program, you can create your very own Facebook app and accept donations to a wide variety of potential donors.

7/ Keep track of all of your donations online within your PayPal account. Transfer funds to your bank account any time, or use the money online through your PayPal account where it is accepted.
